SCOUTING CAPITAL ADVISORS ASSISTS INDUSTRIA CASEARIA SILVIO BELLADELLI IN THE ENTRY OF BELGIOIOSO CHEESE INTO ITS SHARE CAPITAL

  • Villafranca di Verona, 2 August 2024 – Industria Casearia Silvio Belladelli S.p.A. (Belladelli), a leading company in the production of ‘Tutto Italiano Duro a Pasta Cotta’ Cheese made with the traditional method, as well as whey derivatives, announces that it has reached an agreement with the US company BelGioioso Cheese Inc. (BelGioioso) of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, aimed at supporting and developing initiatives in the dairy sector in Italy.
  • The agreement provides for the entry of BelGioioso as a minority shareholder in the capital of Belladelli, whose control remains firmly in the hands of the shareholder family, now in its third generation, actively involved in the management of the company.
  • This partnership is supported by a common vision oriented towards the development of high quality and technologically advanced dairy products. Through this collaboration, the companies will strengthen their market position by creating a bridge between Italian excellence and American innovation in the dairy sector. This project will favour the growth and development of new products, positioning both companies as leaders in the sector capable of responding to the needs of an increasingly demanding and competitive market.
  • Belladelli, founded in 1927 and based in Villafranca di Verona, specialises in the production of cheese, in particular Grana Padano. The company is known for its ‘Tutto Italiano Duro a Pasta Cotta’ cheese, produced using traditional methods in copper boilers. In 2012, Belladelli established DWB Proteins S.r.l., in collaboration with the Dutch multinational Denkavit Italiana, to consolidate the marketing of whey concentrate and other milk derivatives for the human and livestock markets.
  • BelGioioso, founded in 1979 in Green Bay, Wisconsin (USA), is a renowned producer and distributor of high-quality Italian-style cheeses for the US market.
  • The company operates several production facilities, mainly in Wisconsin, each dedicated to making specific types of cheeses to ensure strict quality control from production to packaging.
  • In the transaction, Belladelli was assisted by Scouting Capital Advisors as financial advisor, with a team comprising Managing Partner Filippo Bratta, Partner Giuseppe Sartorio and Associate Director Marco Croci, and by PwC TLS for the legal aspects with a team comprising Partner Filippo Zucchinelli, Director Giulio della Casa and Manager Valeria Chiocca.
