EMAK GROUP ACQUIRES THE 70% OF LEMASA LTDA IN BRAZIL

  • EMAK Group acquires the 70% of the Brazilian company LEMASA Ltda, the transaction value amounts to 75.6 million Reais.
  • Lemasa is a leading Brazilian manufacturer in South America of pumps and systems for high and very high pressure, a specific segment of the high pressure water jetting sector. Lemasa closed the 2013 financial year with a turnover of approximately 13 million Euro, an EBITDA of 4.7 million Euro, corresponding to an incidence on sales of 36.1%; and a net profit of 3.7 million Euro.
  • The acquisition took place through the newly-formed Comet do Brasil Investimentos LTDA based in Indaiatuba (Brazil), whose share capital will be owned as to 99% by Comet S.p.A. and 1% by Ptc Srl.
  • Scouting SpA acted as exclusive financial advisor of Emak Group and Comet SpA identifying the Brazilian target company and supporting Emak Group and Comet SpA management team during the whole negotiation, deal structuring and execution process in Italy and Brazil.
